The food order was placed right but the chef did not read the ticket. This resulted in me having to get my food re made while everyone else had finished eating. However when I finally made it back home my food was correct- just not hot and fresh. The manager apologized and gave me a slice of cake due to the chef not realizing the ticket had changed

Food was fresh and hot. Everything was delicious. The orange juice is freshly squeezed! You stand in a line to order and given a device to notify you when the food is ready. They delivered the food. That was the extent of service.

No matter which Black Walnut I go to... the food, service & atmosphere are always great! At Cinco Ranch - it was awesome. Everyone was very attentive & the food was delicious!

Black Walnut Café at Cinco Ranch offers a fantastic dining experience with a warm, cozy atmosphere — definitely 5 stars for the ambiance! I ordered a veggie-packed omelette with mushrooms, spinach, and tomatoes, served with a fresh fruit cup and a side of salsa. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful, and the portion was perfect for a hearty breakfast without feeling heavy. The coffee was rich and aromatic, a great complement to the meal. However, the only drawback was that coffee service is self-serve. Having to get up and refill my cup each time slightly disrupted the otherwise relaxing experience. Table service for coffee would make the experience even better. Despite that small inconvenience, Black Walnut Café remains a wonderful spot for a relaxed meal, with friendly staff, a clean environment, and a beautiful view of the patio area. Highly recommend for breakfast, brunch, or just a good coffee break!

Wow! This place looks amazing after their renovation. We love the brightness and the new added booths in the left lobby. We came in tonight and our server Alyssa was super sweet and attentive. My mother in laws has a couple allergies and i want to say that the manager Siling was super patient with us. She answered all the questions we had and went above and beyond to double check recipes to ensure it was okay for her to eat. Not a lot of places would do that so thank you! We all enjoyed our meal and visit. We will be back!

We recently visited and were delighted by the upgrades and renovations—the space feels like an entirely new restaurant. The food was excellent, and we truly enjoyed our breakfast selections. What impressed us most, however, was the outstanding service from the general manager, Doug. Since we were dining with our newborn, he kindly offered us a quiet, private area away from the front entrance where work was being done, ensuring our baby was comfortable. His attentiveness and genuine care made our experience even more special. Thank you, Doug—we will definitely be back!

I visited Black Walnut Cafe in Cinco Ranch and ordered the omelet and pancakes — both were delicious! The omelet was fresh and tasty, and packed with flavor, and the pancakes were soft, buttery. The atmosphere is relaxed, the service was friendly, and it’s a great spot for a casual breakfast or brunch.

Our server Corbin was great! So helpful and friendly. We enjoyed their Houston Restaurant Weeks menu. We had the lobster tacos which were yummy. And I also had the hummus plate which was the 1st of my 2 courses and it was very fresh and tasty. Cinco Ranch location is about to do a major renovation. Can’t wait to see it in September!
